Xtron, big DT fan myself.  I have the Denon app and when I compare it to the stock EQ it blows it away with the 10 bands you can adjust.  I'm curious to see how the SonicMaxPro sounds compared to it.  I am not sure how much better another EQ app can be than the free Denon Audio one

I got the Denon Audio app for my iPod touch 3G.  It has up to a 10 band EQ, I think it's sounds pretty damn good.  I agree with the queue thing, you also can't fast forward songs.

I just bought a pair of M50's from a HF member, but I see them on Amazon direct from AT for $112 shipped.

I have a set of M50's on their way as my first phile phones, my buying metrics were price/un-amped/closed.  I did hear that these shine even more with an amp even though it's not needed to hear the true song phrasing.

Not sure about the right smartphone, I have the HTC EVO 4G LTE and it has the Dre Beats tech, sound like an overboosted spacially bass sound to all the songs.  I actually bought the M50's so I look forward to reviewing their sound.
