It is definitely personal preference. For me, I find flat more fun, because I enjoy it more. When theres a spike to any frequency, I feel like the music has been compromised. Everyones different though. Just like how some guys find fat girls fun

Buy them and if you don't like them, sell them for $350

Um3x us a great upgrade. I went from the um2 to the um3x. They are just about as easy to drive as the um2. I'd say just step up to the w4

They're pretty tough to remove but not as tough as it is with Shure earphones
