Triple-fi replacement cable - UE custom 48" cable
If it is the same as the Westone cable then the gold wires on the end of the left and right cables (2 on each) have a very slightly larger diameter and they are a little too long. Apparently the wires can be cut down by around 1mm then made to fit in.- RichWhitfield

Triple-fi replacement cable - UE custom 48" cable
Thanks for that, I do have the UE cable with the right-angle jack and I do like the sound. The main reason for wanting to change is the stiffness of the cable. I think it would be much more comfortable with a softer wire. Cheers- RichWhitfield

Triple-fi replacement cable - UE custom 48" cable
Hi, does anyone know if the UE pre-Sept 2010 custom replacement cable (http://ultimateears.com/en-us/products/custom-accessories) fits triple-fis? How would those cables alter the sound? I know Westone cables are supposed to be good, but they need altering (albeit slightly) before...- RichWhitfield

Need help. fake or real
Have you checked this thread - http://www.head-fi.org/forum/thread/457420/warning-fake-ie8s-comparison-pictures-included Seems that the red chip missing is the main tell. I bought a pair (stupidly the cheapest offer) that didn't have a red chip and I complained to the online shop I bought...- RichWhitfield

Electronic Music Exchange (House, DnB, Dubstep, etc.)
Drum & Bass noisia and spor for the dark & nasty side matrix & futurebound for the more melodic side Obviously there are loads more of each type, but I just think they are some great exponents of the styles.- RichWhitfield

Greatest Guitarist: Virtuosity & Creativity
I like good old Joe Satriani. He isn't a stupendously fast picker (not that I have seen or heard anyway), but he does use legato very well. He isn't someone who just shreds, which to me is half the battle. He writes very melodic and not too far out-there tunes. Another great guitarist...- RichWhitfield

Despicable Me 7.5/10 - Pretty funny animated film. Humour on several levels like most of these sort of films. I guess I am also a kid at heart!- RichWhitfield
