Owned both and I would recommend going with the UM2 hands down. Buy some Shure soft flex (gray) tips if you're worried about the sound being too bassy. They were too dark for me with the included foam tips, but the Shure tips make them worlds better.

Holy crap! I won't say what I bought and sold my D77s for. That was a couple years ago. Let's just say either you did quite well for yourself or I should have held onto my pair.

Got mine yesterday and couldn't do a lot of impressions because my ears were still ringing from seeing Q-Tip Sunday night. Rocking them today though. I'm not going to comment a lot on the sound because a bunch of people already have. I will say that they're amazing. Best IEMs I've heard...

WOOHOO! The UM2 is one of my all around favorite things that I own. Can't wait to finally stick the 3 in my ears.

The Klipsch Image X10 were my favorite high-end IEMs in terms of sound quality (and I've owned the UM2, super.fi 5 pro, and briefly the Custom-3 and SE530). Unfortunately, to get a good seal I had to insert them so far that I would get terrible irritation in my ears after 30 minutes of listening...
