Home-Made IEMs
Bookmarked this thread, pretty interested in making one (and I'm willing to throw some cash into it, probably ~500). :) I'll be reading through this thread when I have the time to and I'm gonna ask massive amounts of questions in due time..! :D- Revy

DIY Cable Gallery!!
Hey guys, anyone of you know where to get connectors for DIY custom IEM cables? I kinda remember there's a thread on head-fi selling them. I tried DIY-ing the pins but the center part protrudes out. They touch each other when I plug them into my IEM. I tried sliding a heatshrink over but...- Revy

Should I get UE 500 or Beats Tours or Ibeats?
UE500 anytime. Honestly, I'd choose almost anything over beats. It's overpriced, sounds colored, lows seems to dominate the other frequencies, way too boomy.- Revy

Does iTunes sound worse than Foobar2000 and VLC player?
I use Foobar2000 for flac, and iTunes for 320kbps mp3s.- Revy

[ASk] Good CMOY design for starter
Quote: You don't need their schematic, get the kit and follow the instructions if all you want is a good DIY amp. Gotta look into tagentsoft's cmoy schematics if you plan on modifying anything.- Revy

FLAC/WAV conversion question
If you want to save space and don't mind lower quality, convert them into 320kbps mp3. If you have space to spare and want the highest quality possible, go for FLAC. Personally I feel that .wav are a waste of space, since I don't hear any difference between wav and flac.- Revy

DIYing a TF10 cable.
Silver cables are the most common ones.. you can try to mix the cables yourself to see what produces the best sound for you.- Revy

Dac VS Amp or Dac + Amp?
If you need portability, amp. If you're using your setup most of the time at home, DAC. If you're after something in-between, amp+dac.- Revy

Best Reasonably Priced Portable Amp..?
I'd say go for E11. It should have great synergy with the MTPG, it's pretty cheap as well.- Revy
