I tried fenestrated dekoni on a couple of other headphones - super clean and spacious sound but the bass becomes s bit underwhelming.

My ADX5000s are late 2018 production - no creaking.

I still like w3000s for their sweet vocals, but overall ADX5000 are just more technically capable headphones - more air, even tighter bass and loads of details. W3000s are more forgivable to the record though.

Not that they are bad, just not good enough (for me personally). The same sound as 800s, I don't understand those who found closed version more "fun" than open model.

To my ears HD820s have superb soundstage for closed-backs. Overall that doesn't "save" them though :ksc75smile:

Fair points,sir! I also mentioned in my review for Russian forum that Audio-Technica is known mostly for their closed-backs with "cool" and "fun" sound but lacking that last bit of technical ability. Also Japanese brands are very conservative in their marketing strategies, that's true too.
