so i did the whole thing and reinstalled with the newer versions of emcore and rockbox   it seems to be working better but i noticed that most of my files do seem to copy, with a few exceptions [and those send the ipod into fits].  maybe the problem is with the files in my computer being...

so for some reason my 120g is not transferring files from the computer   it works when i copy something from the ipod to the comp but not the other way around   ive been putting a lot of vinyl rips in there lately [but they're 16-44 anyways] idk if it might have something to do with it...

i use it as DAC   sounds tons better than my crappy laptop soundcard

making playlists on rockbox is a total pain on the a**   that's the only thing i miss from itunes :(

i didnt realize burn-in was a significant factor for amps   mine has maybe 30 hrs tops

i was pretty unimpressed with this amp since i got it basically to make my audiophile orchestral albums sound as vast and dynamic as i know they can [on ER4s], but didnt really hear much of a difference between the Leckerton and my rockboxed ipod hp out except maybe more treble and clean gain...

idk maybe try a couple times more?   it wasnt working for me until about the 12th attempt

yeah the sound is a bit more refined and dynamic.  with the original i could always hear a kind of midrange 'glare' and no soundstage   im almost regretting buying that UHA-4 for my ER4s, i can just plug em in to the ipod and it sounds pretty decent!   and of course EQ to my heart's content

thank you guys for this!   i just switched last night and spent an hour playing with the EQ!  but even without EQ i can tell it sounds better...frequency response seems to be the same, but there's soundstage and clarity, and no harshness.   i was only wondering if the thing charges...

i have the Lexicon Lambda and it sounded pretty nice when i heard my own recordings but it never dawned on me to listen to it as a DAC    i'll do some comparisons with my Leckerton UHA-4 and see how nice it really is...

finally delivered!!   been listening to it with my ipod, mostly comparing the crossfeed on/off.  so far i like it, tho with ER4s im finding the treble detail a bit much, but it may be that FiiO E5 w/bassboost was just obscuring everything.   i cant seem to make it work in USB DAC mode...

just ordered me one of these babies!   let's see what all the fuss was about
