Rarn Thank you for your answer but now i have a follow up question (or two).   Is there another software i can use on the mac that will work with iPhone, iPad, iPod? Is ALAC equal to FLAC? I thought FLAC was the file format that "everybody" used or wanted to use, meaning the "best"?

I use cosmic ears HY3. All my music is in apple lossless. I don't hear any difference between red or green setting on the vamp eq. Or any difference on iPhone 4S and vamp. I listen to rock, blues, pop and so on.. Does this have anything to do with the software upgrade on the vamp...? Meaning...
