New Sennheiser 595s sound awesome but a bit off (amp/EQ help)
Ordered a pair of 595s off of eBay for a good deal and I don't think I've ever owned a pair of headphones this powerful before. The best headphones I've owned so far are Audio-Technica AD700s and V-Moda M100s - they have their pros and cons so I wanted to try something different and higher end...- qu4ntumrush

Should I use a screwdriver? Are the screws for holding the clip in?- qu4ntumrush

V-MODA Crossfade M-80 Reviews
I have cushion problems. About a month ago the seams on the left cushion just burst open and I would like to replace it. I see replacement cushions are available but I cannot find good instructions on how to replace them. Being a simp I already removed it to see what the driver looked like. It...- qu4ntumrush

[2021 Update] Venture Electronics (VE) Monk V2, Monk Plus & Monk Go: a $5 earbud that taking the world by storm!!!
RIP. Double damn that headphone plug. Turns out it wasn't 100% working with my computer's jack, just that 90% of the degrees worked. Well just now a tug in my bed completely killed sound in the right earpiece and now I had to throw it away. And my plug extension is still 3 days away...rotten...- qu4ntumrush

[2021 Update] Venture Electronics (VE) Monk V2, Monk Plus & Monk Go: a $5 earbud that taking the world by storm!!!
Do the custom cable Monks on eBay have better build quality? I'm asking because...I think my personal Monks are in a lot of peril. I noticed about a week and a half ago, when plugged into my phone (2013 original Moto X), it would have sound only in the left earpiece unless I twisted it around...- qu4ntumrush

[2021 Update] Venture Electronics (VE) Monk V2, Monk Plus & Monk Go: a $5 earbud that taking the world by storm!!!
Thanks for the information, dunno why it isn't clearer on his page. Just to make sure before I order, how big of a deal is the lack of coverage? Is the chance of losing them closer to 1/100 or 1/10?- qu4ntumrush

[2021 Update] Venture Electronics (VE) Monk V2, Monk Plus & Monk Go: a $5 earbud that taking the world by storm!!!
Hi, my Koss Porta Pros broke (a wire was pulled out of the left earpiece) and I am looking for a similarly cheap, very comfortable/unobtrusive pair of earbuds or on-ear, non-pleather headphones. While the Monks look suitable for my needs I was wondering why AE standard shipping is the only...- qu4ntumrush

V-Moda M-80s at Radio Shack for $40!!!
Bought the last pair at Radioshack - what a lucky day! Sound is very good, so I can't imagine how they must sound after breaking in. I love their ruggedness like the braided cord and steel design. I have to buy 2 headphones a year because they can't stop breaking, so I hope this ends that cycle.- qu4ntumrush

Portable headphones with velour pads
I ordered the earpieces and "fixed" the S400s (one side can't fold but it fits my head). I don't remember the headband being uncomfortable; it bothers me more than the pleather. Setting them directly on top of my head (I like to have most headbands face forward a little) helps a little, but...- qu4ntumrush

Portable headphones with velour pads
I already owned the HAS400B (same design) but it broke. I might be able to fix them. Will the velour pads work? I'm also considering the Beyer DT235.- qu4ntumrush

Portable headphones with velour pads
Hi, I am in need of new headphones because my favorite portables, the Koss KSC75, has finally flat-out broke - they have no sound in the right piece. RIP. My requirements are: 1. Flat velour pads only! I detest pleather pads because they warm my ears immediately and they aren't even that...- qu4ntumrush

broken ksc-75s?
It's been almost 2 months since I bought my Koss KSC-75 headphones and just in the past 2 weeks or so I've noticed something strange - mostly during bass-heavy song parts, the right earpiece is vibrating or something. Are they broken or can I fix it myself? I know they're cheap but I don't want...- qu4ntumrush

++ FULL-SIZE HEADPHONE RECOMMENDATIONS THREAD++ CLOSED: Please post a thread in the Introductions, Help and Advice forum
I just received my Koss KSC75s and I want help on how to wear them. There's no indicator of which is left and right; do you wear them with the clip ends facing back? I'm currently wearing them loosely because I have to take off my glasses, put on the headphones, and put back on my glasses...- qu4ntumrush

Good, comfy headphones for $100 or less
Yeah, an E5 is the only kind of amp I can use at this point. The big ones with the Frankenstein-style capacitors are weird. Is my MP3 player good enough without an amp? Can I detach the cord and buy a new one if it tangles up? I'll look more into the 240s. On second thought, I might like...- qu4ntumrush

Good, comfy headphones for $100 or less
The 240s sound like the kind of sound I want but I'm concerned about the cord length and impedance. Is there anything that AKG makes that's designed for MP3 players?- qu4ntumrush
