    LG V20 Sound Quality

Lol. I check this thread periodically and it seems people keep comparing to dedicated equipment, especially mojo and Cowon. I'm quite sure those dedicated do their job and quite well. Better for the price. For phones, it's a compliment to be compared to high end headphone DAC/amps. But comparing...

LG v20 is $480 @ T-Mobile. If you're somewhat of a headphone audiophile get it while you can. Probably the best Dap for under $500 right now. Still kicking myself in the ass for missing out on the $360 sale.

Wow. They botched an asahi kasei DAC? The 4458 sounds great on my marantz 7702mkii. Couldn't justify spending another $2800 to get the 4490 in the 8802 pre pro.

    Beyerdynamic Custom One Pro Review

Nope. Not a lot of headphones under my belt. The free h3's I got for LG v20 are best sounding EARphone I heard and I haven't heard many or any I enjoy like the h3's. I can even do extended listening sometimes as they're fairly comfortable. My h3's are portable of course and almost always with...

    Beyerdynamic Custom One Pro Review

DT 770 250 ohm will definitely need an amp or a phone like the LGV20 to push them. TBH, the COPs are the more fun sounding headphone. A sound I think most would enjoy. The 250s are little more clinical, need moar power, slightly recessed mids but the bass is pretty good. DT770 250 ohm isn't for...

    LG V20 Sound Quality

Sadly after my 10j update, from 10d, I rooted. I did get a feel of 10j a couple of days and then rooted. Even after some minor optimizations I don't think I'll see that 8h sot again. I still get 6h easily and could see getting 7h but tough stretch. Battery life went down a bit after the update...

    JDS Labs C5/C5D (pg96) portable amp/amp+DAC

Not sure about planars. Peeps have been pleasantly at the capability to drive 600ohms at listenable levels though. Battery life not sure as I'm a casual listener. Amp section is clean and powerful enough for probably 95% of stuff out there. I've seen some arguments out there about Cowon...

Wow dude. You want trademark on a trick I was using before I read your post on XDA or over here. Unreal.

    LG V20 Sound Quality

No but I've fed my marantz pre amp in phono and aux mode. Both sounded fabulous. I couldn't pick which I liked better. The asahi kasei 4458 is a pretty good DAC on it's own. And the 4490 is supposed to be even better but found mostly in high end products. Cheapest thing I've found it in is JDS...

Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro - Limited Edition, 32 Ohms

Dt770 Pro 250 can pump out serious bass with the right amp. But that is with the right amp, like my JDS C5D which is pretty powerful. Sure the 80's can do it much more easy across more products. Still need to have some a few sitdowns with my v20 and 770/250ohm. But I've been addicted to my new...

    LG V20 Sound Quality

Been keeping up with this thread and finally caught up. A question that has been bugging the hell out of me is how in the world can anybody think the promo ear buds, the bang and Olufsen H3s are bright? Do those that think those specific earphones are bright because they listen to bass heavy...

    LG V20 Sound Quality

To those of that mentioned the highs roll off, of course they do. The h3s are rated for 20-16khz. I thought it would be a problem but tbh they sound very good. A little mid forward, not able to punch but still plenty there and neither is the sound fatiguing nor wearing them fatiguing as far as...

    LG V20 Sound Quality

I've only read of one case of cracked lens outside of YouTube videos testing the phone. And that person dropped it. So I don't think it is a widespread issue. People making it a bigger issue than it should be. Keep the plastic on, don't be negligent or drop your phone and you should be fine.
