    Replacement headband for Denon D1100

Hi everyone,   I have been using my D1100s at my office for the past two years. Today, the plastic band that holds the right ear cup chipped off a bit (near the size adjustment band) and the right ear cup fell apart. Do you guys have any luck trying to find a replacement headband for the...

Little Dot I+ - Help with Troubleshooting

Hi everyone,   I got myself a Little Dot I+ from another head-fier about 6 months back (who said that it was 10 months old at that time). I've been using it everyday for an hour or two. I tube-rolled a bit before settling on LT1364 and Mullard EF92 combo a couple of months back. I never...

WTB bassier headphones than ath m50 with better sound quality?

IMO the M50s don't benefit much from an amp but they would definitely sound better with a dedicated DAC / sound card. IMO you should go with the D1100s if possible. Try using them for a few months (since you've already tried the M50s) and if you don't like them you can put them on the FS forum...

WTB bassier headphones than ath m50 with better sound quality?

Quote: The D1100s are supremely comfortable. No questions about that. The D1100s are not as accurate as the M50s (bass is overemphasized) but are fun sounding phones especially if you like image S4s and think M50s are bass shy - I felt exactly the same some time back. I can't comment...

WTB bassier headphones than ath m50 with better sound quality?

Quote: Hmm. That's a difficult question to answer. IMO strictly IMO that is - I don't think the D1100s are $200 phones. I would pay $150 (maximum) for them. There might be people who might disagree with that but I find their price difficult to swallow especially as the D2000s were...

WTB bassier headphones than ath m50 with better sound quality?

    So, IMO   Bass quantity : D1100 > D2000 > M50 Bass quality : D2000 > D1100 ~ M50 Mids : D2000 ~ M50 > D1100 (mids in Denon series are not as forward as in M50) Highs : D2000 > D1100 > M50 (personal preference - slightly rolled off highs) Instrument separation: D2000 > M50 ~ D1100  ...

WTB bassier headphones than ath m50 with better sound quality?

Quote: Yes and Yes. I wouldn't call them inferior but the D1100s are not as accurate as the D2000s. The D1100s do have more bass than the D2000s (but the bass on D2000s is tighter) - so according to your definition they are closer to the beats than M50s. Also, the D1100s (and the D2000s)...

    Denon D2000/D5000, MD2000/MD5000 Thread!

Nope. I didn't. I decided to wait and call them after they are back in stock. I am waiting to see if Denon is going to update the AHD series.

    Denon D2000/D5000, MD2000/MD5000 Thread!

Did anyone buy a D5000 recently? They seem to be out of stock everywhere (Is Denon updating their line ???).  I'm planning to call up J&R and order one. What do you guys think would be a good price for a bargain on J&R? Would $400 be too low?

    Denon D2000/D5000, MD2000/MD5000 Thread!

Quote:   IMO the bass I got out of my D2000 from LD I+ was far more punchy compared to M-stage (That was one of the reasons I went back to I+ and sold my M-stage). Some might call it 'bloated' but I like to call it 'punchy' and apparently I love it

Quote: Welcome to head-fi :) Glad that you like your D2000s. You should probably look at the LD I+ for your first little upgrade.
