Post A Photograph Of Your Turntable

I'll take better shots with my camera maybe tonight, this is was a instagram shot as soon as i got the setup re-organized. The Grados are a pair of SR60i's, and the phono is a Soundblaster X-FI HD and the cartridge/needle is the stock one that comes with the RP1. Far, far away from a...

Sorry if anyone has ever said that, but that rack doesn't seem so stable to put a TT on top of it.

Quote: So far so good, so very good. I'm still burning in the cartrigde, but i already can see a improvement from the day i unboxed it, i'm discovering things and samples in my vinyl that my old technics couldn't bring up. I totally recommend the RP1, master bang for the buck.

I'm going record shopping tomorrow, but we don't got any Record Store day esclusive here in Brazil, we don't even have a RSD for that matter. Guess i'll be add the Blind Melon reissue to my "want but will never have" list on Discogs.

I own the Siamese Dream reissue, and they did a really good job at the remaster, at least for my non-trained ears. I plan on getting all the reissues, since the original pressings are impossible to find where i live. I saw one Mellon Collie that was going for almost $700. Didn't knew about...

Want to buy new turntable, looking at the Rega-P1

Yeah, i have some concerns about isolation, as i'm going to put the Rega on the top of a kinda tall rack, where i keep all my stuff (vinyl, receiver, ps3, games, etc) and it's not exactly Stonehenge--ish in terms of stability. Do you think these would work...

Want to buy new turntable, looking at the Rega-P1

Thank you, Baxide. I'm pretty set on the RP1, i'm trying to look past the steep price tag since i'm in Brazil, and the taxes on imported products are insane.   The RP1 is going for R$ 1980,00 (reais), that's about $ 1000, more than double the retail price, and i can't buy from online...
