Sony MDR-CD900ST, why don't these get more love?

if i buy the mdr cd900 from an independent seller on amazon, in this case the seller would be in japan, does amazon bear any responsibility if the headphone turns out to be a fake?  what exactly is their policy?  (just read amazon's policy on third party sellers; they want you to think they're...

    NEW: Audio-Technica ATH-ESW11LTD

have a gander at goldenears.net, provides sonic measurements of many of at's models. this website is a real eye opener..... was always curious about sony z1000, but when you review the measurements i really couldn' t buy this headphone. to no surprise, esw9 and es11 have wonderful measurements...

    Beyerdynamic DT100 (DT 100 or DT-100)

i am buying the dt100's for the aesthetic beauty, pour moi, these maybe the coolest looking cans ever produced...... i'm just hoping the sound coming out of either side is better than a transistor radio.

    NEW: Audio-Technica ATH-ESW11LTD

in some ways i like the es7 more than the esw9, i believe this is do to the metalic housing, sharper tones, harder edged, that's why when the banks open again around here on thursday, its on to the es10.   the wood enclosure on the esw9 while lush seems to take away just a touch of enthusiasm in...

    NEW: Audio-Technica ATH-ESW11LTD

the very fact that the es11's are exactly the same size excluding the (52mm drivers) as my esw9's with the same wood finish coloring (though not the same wood) will not have me rifling through the back of my sock drawer trying to come up with the $728.96.  i am willing however to turn the sofa...

a good solid headphone that lacks any defining characteristics. nice midrange, clean, clear presentation. however, without a deeper more "gutzy" well rounded bottom end i don't expect these cans to be more than just great decoration for my wall............

    Beyerdynamic DT-100?

i just saw steve ferone wearing a pair of these on the 1987 duran duran "notorious" tour..... looked great, probably sounded like the inside of a tin can.......

    sony mdr r10

i have the mdr 1r  its not in the same realm of amperior or the top audio technica portables, though its a good headphone, with true street shiek, looks great especially in brown.

    sony mdr r10

please understand, i am pro sony, i just wish they could create a "killer" set of street cans on the level of the amperior or the ath es10, certainly they have the resources........ what the hell does that prove.......... look at a little outfit called microsoft.

    sony mdr r10

as a very astute member recently noted that sony for all its recent headphone miss-hits from top to bottom, should update the now discontinued mdr r10, crank back up the production line, to sort of paraphrase. what was the sound signature of the r10?( just to note) i referred the gallery photos...

just to clarify, the point is i really want to be in sony's corner, i love the idea of sony electronics, probably because when i was young they set the standard, hell they invented portable audio! and in the end apple has taken it all away......
