Ok guys... it is a joke. It was done very very well though. They did actually make a set of these. The coil is a giant inductor and the large resistor is used to balance the non-bass drivers. There's no way it would be loud enough driven straight off an iPod or something.

They have a CT20-m model for those who have normal sized ears. Instead of being flush with your ears, they stick out about 0.5 cm. This is the style I got. You haven't heard music until you've heard them through the CT20s. I'll admit, it's a bit odd for them to announce on April Fools day... but...

They do poke out quite a bit... but they still sound fantastic! See pic.
