    Senn HD280/HD580/Grado SR80/ Sony?? Which to get please

    if you can drop $170, go for the beyerdynamic dt250-80's. it's worth it. theyre easy to drive, so no need for an amp. you can get great sound out of pretty much anything. i use mine with my computer (turtle beach santa cruz), pcdp (a two-yr-old sony), and panasonic stereo, and the beyers sound...

    alias - the other side of the looking glass - anticon strikes again with more introspective white guy rapping over lusciously sampled and arranged compositions. so gangsta. venetian snares - higgins ultra low track glue funk hits 1972-2006 - insane breakcore madness that eventually goes...

    So I got the Sennheiser 280's...

    it's nice to see there's someone else who feels the same way i do about the 280 vs v700. with all of the praise that the senns were getting, i was really looking forward to them. plus the fact that people were labeling them a suitable dj phone made it all that much more exciting. so i...

    * * * Technics Rp-dj1200/1210 * * *

    i had a pair of the black technics phones for a few days. they sounded like crap, they seemed cheaply constructed, and the earpads were really small (didnt fit over ears at all). if he really wants a flashy brand-name dj headphone, he'd be better off with the sony v700dj. theyre about the same...

    HD280pro--most uncomfortable headphone ever?

    the clamping of the 280's is making me get rid of them and pick up a pair of beyer 250-80's. the top of the head doesnt bother me at all, but the earpieces get annoying. if taking off a pair of headphones is a big relief after using them for 30mins or less, then i dont care how good the sound is.

    My HD-280's finally arrived; impressions

    i'm close to 50hrs right now, and they sound much better than before. i'd say between 30 and 40hrs is when they really started to get tolerable. the highs have mellowed a lot, and the mids are coming through well. the bass goes deep and stays clear, but i wish they had a little more punch to...

    an originally meant-to-be-quick beyer question

    do the 250-80's come with the infamously comfortable pads (the ones for v6 mods)? i'm thinking about returning my 280's and dropping another $70 on the beyers. i've given the senns about 35hrs of break-in, and they're still too much on the bright side for me. to each his own. i need...

    My HD-280's finally arrived; impressions

    i got my 280's yesterday also. right out of the box, they were pretty thin and bright. i've been breaking them in for about 26 hours so far, and they're sounding better (although not by a whole lot). hopefully they pull through after 40. as far as construction goes, it'd be nice if the...
