    Question to DIYers!!!!

replied to your pm, but ill put this here as well   http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PS/2_connector   2 of the wires are not connected to anything, so you are probably fine. if you have a meter, you can see which one is which, or if you take apart your keyboard, you can see if it says...

Broke HS student recabling Yuin's PK2

it has been my experience with yuin headphones that the connection at the 3.5mm plug is generally the weakest spot, so before you consider a re cable, i would just buy a neutrik 3.5mm connector and try to replace the one that is currently on the cable. the wires are enameled, so you will need to...

Recommendations for new cables for PK1 please!

when i recabled my pk-1 buds i used i think around 30 gauge wire (spofhc from fleabay). the buds really suck to open, and they are not warrantied if you mess up, so you might think about trying to cut the wire and solder onto it instead of opening up the buds and soldering directly onto the speakers

Shure 840s: my ideal setup on a budget.

if you can find the parts, a carrie amp / grub dac combo is pretty hard to beat imo... very portable, headphone amp and dac in the size of a mini3

    Low cost DIY DAC?

the grub and carrie go really well together if that project is still alive, basically a mini 3 and gamma 1 lite, in a container the size of a mini 3, and all powered off usb     http://www.diyforums.org/GrubDAC/GrubDAChistory.php

    Driver Polrity for AKG Sextetts

polarity doesn't usually matter as long as they are both the same, those drivers should have - marks near one of the terminals so you can orient them in the same direction

    new elastics for akg k240

akg replacements are avaliable but spendy, like 5 bucks each. lots of people here including myself use hair bands which are about 2 bucks for 50. to replace, lift the badge from the side of the cup using a knife, then everything comes apart with a screw

    conductive paint

ugh, okay i appreciate that you guys are trying to help, but this is like calling tech support.   lets forget the k340 part, does anyone have a conductive paint for use on plastic that they have had experience with?

    conductive paint

inside the electrostatic driver there are several pieces, there is a membrane, which i am not touching. there is a metalised piece of plastic on the other side of the membrane from the grill. this piece had its metalised paint visibly worn/blown off by a previous owner running too much current...

    conductive paint

does anyone have any recomendations for conductive paint, preferably spraypaint or airbrush medium that would work well on plastic? or another electroplating process that i should look into? i am looking for a suitable fix for my k340 electrostatic drivers and want something that will dry in as...

AKG K340 fit issues. Anyone have a fix?

after you unscrew the screw in the back, the top part that connects to the headband should just fall apart, what issue are you having?
