Do you have a preferance for circumaural or supraural cans?

Where did you get yours? Have you tried contacting Jaben? My x3 just died and was replaced with a Bijou 3. Still undecided if the SQ is an improvement but the build quality is definitely light years ahead.

I'm running mine on an Edge amp through a USB DAC. Couldn't hear much of a soundstage either...

They sound just like any other DT880 - fantastic! But that green color... The moment the box was opened I knew I just have to get the green.

Hmm... the DT150 is like the completion opposite of the ER4P...

I just bought a 16GB D2 last week and still playing around with it. Most people I know with the D2 run it ampless as the improvement of an amp thru its headphone out is rather minimal. That's another reason why I got it: the SQ of the D2 is good enough without an amp and thus, less bulk, cables...

These are it. I was told they were special editions and cost a tad more than the standard silver ones though I managed to get them at the same price as the stock. They look good though, sort of semi-manufaktur, and especially on a dark wood headphone stand.

I believe the impedence affects the sound somewhat as well. Testing the 2 side-by-side I somehow prefer the 250 ohm version.

I think it's cuz the Edge is not well-known outside of Singapore.

Between the 80 and the 250 ohm, I like the sound of the latter better. The 150 can be fantastic, but it really needs an amp to shine. Sometimes they can sound overly dark to me.

I find that the 2005 250 ohm consumer version sounds better than the 80 ohm pro version. What do you guys think?

denl82: Your comparison between the 880 and 150 is very insightful. I find myself agreeing with most of your points regarding each headphone. I also find that sometimes the 150 can really make you go 'Wow!' like no other. However, between the 2, I finally ended up with the 880 as it's not as...
