    Shops in Malaysia and Singapore

Jaben is the only store I'll bother with. Good prices, free auditioning of anything you like, good warranties and always with freebies thrown in. Just that can be crowded sometimes. M'sia prices are all too ...

    Difference: Beyerdynamic Pro?

The 2005 880 consumer edition is all you need. (Plus a good amp.)

CrossRoads MylarOne X3, XB, and Classic Owners Club

Where did you get yours? Have you tried contacting Jaben? My x3 just died and was replaced with a Bijou 3. Still undecided if the SQ is an improvement but the build quality is definitely light years ahead.

    DT880 experience, unamped (vs MS2i)

I'm running mine on an Edge amp through a USB DAC. Couldn't hear much of a soundstage either...

    BeyerDynamic owners unite...

They sound just like any other DT880 - fantastic! But that green color... The moment the box was opened I knew I just have to get the green.

Is there a closed "equivalent" of Beyer DT-880 PRO?

Hmm... the DT150 is like the completion opposite of the ER4P...

    Just ordered my D2

I just bought a 16GB D2 last week and still playing around with it. Most people I know with the D2 run it ampless as the improvement of an amp thru its headphone out is rather minimal. That's another reason why I got it: the SQ of the D2 is good enough without an amp and thus, less bulk, cables...

    BEYERDYNAMIC DT770....80 or 250 Ohm

I mean the '05 consumer edition. I tried it with the 80ohm pro version back-to-back.

These are it. I was told they were special editions and cost a tad more than the standard silver ones though I managed to get them at the same price as the stock. They look good though, sort of semi-manufaktur, and especially on a dark wood headphone stand.

    beyer dt770 80 vs 250

I believe the impedence affects the sound somewhat as well. Testing the 2 side-by-side I somehow prefer the 250 ohm version.

Crossroads Edge Amp --- A Review by 2 people (with High res pics)

I think it's cuz the Edge is not well-known outside of Singapore.

    BEYERDYNAMIC DT770....80 or 250 Ohm

Between the 80 and the 250 ohm, I like the sound of the latter better. The 150 can be fantastic, but it really needs an amp to shine. Sometimes they can sound overly dark to me.

Early xmas prezzy - DT770's Whoop!

I find that the 2005 250 ohm consumer version sounds better than the 80 ohm pro version. What do you guys think?

    [Comparison] Beyerdynamic DT 150 vs DT 880 2003, a novice's comparison(w/ PICtures)

denl82: Your comparison between the 880 and 150 is very insightful. I find myself agreeing with most of your points regarding each headphone. I also find that sometimes the 150 can really make you go 'Wow!' like no other. However, between the 2, I finally ended up with the 880 as it's not as...
