Buying portable or in-ear headphones? Seeking guidance? DON'T START A NEW THREAD. Ask for advice HERE!
What do you think would be better for me? Sennheiser hd25 or V-MODA m-80? I currently own a gr07 and i love it but I wouldn't mind a different sound sig. My music taste always changes but this is where it's at now: mainly hip-hop, light rock and a bit of jazz, folk/indie, r&b. I...- noona1227

Impedance definition - does this make sense?
Thanks I understand now. I have another question. so high impedance headphones need more voltage but less current. And low impedance headphones need less voltage but more current. Can you explain to me why? Is there a formula to represent this?- noona1227

Impedance definition - does this make sense?
'Headphone Impedance is the reaction when the voice coil found in the driver is affected by the magnet inside the headphone.' I know there's more to it but is this sentence correct? Edit: maybe reaction isn't the right word?- noona1227

Is there a difference between nominal impedance, input impedance and just impedance?
I've been looking at specs of headphones at some say nominal impedance (Sennheiser HD800, 650), some say input impedance (AKG Q701) and others say just 'impedance'. Is there a difference in the terms or do they mean the same thing? I looked up impedance in wikipedia and it shows links to...- noona1227

WORST headphone you ever heard?
Bose In Ears (the first one). They were my first earphones and even without any experience in this area I thought they were terrible. Very muddy and overpowering bass. Poor isolation, even my iPod buds had better isolation and that's saying something.- noona1227

Looking to buy my first good portable headphones I've narrowed it down to the Beyerdynamic dt1350 or the V-MODA M-80 OR what I could do is get the Beyers now and wait for the M-100? I want portability, good sound (I don't have a preferred sound sig, still trying things out) and...- noona1227
