There isn't much info about the IGI on head-fi - so I figured I'd make a post.   At work I needed closed headphones which led me to M50's - they isolate fairly well, and sound good - but the "Grado" sound I have grown to love wasn't there. The M50's bore me with their laid back mids, and...

A couple months and they really start getting soft.....I can't tell I have me 60's on with comfies. Washing them in warm water with a mild soap and air drying might loosen them up a bit.

Give it time the pads will soften over time and get more comfortable.

For competitive play I've always went to my Icemat Siberia's (Steelhead) or my Grado SR60's (yes I'm serious). Both work very well for me. I tend to prefer the Grado's as they are less bassy, with the mid's being very forward. It helps with footsteps, and locating gunshots. IMO avoid bass heavy...

New here - long time SR60 listener. I recently picked up a set of 225i's and I love them, exactly the upgrade I was wanting.  

Just got mine - and I have to say I'm impressed. Easy to drive and sound really even better with either my total bithead or fiio e5.   My 1st sealed can - they do isolate nice. More bass than my Grados - the mids/highs aren't as forward, but they have a nice balance to them.  

1 hour impression - much cleaner/clearer than the sr60's. Punchy tight bass, excellent mids and highs. Perfect for what I listen too, anyone that enjoys heavy bass should look elsewhere.  They seem significantly more open than the 60's - so listening in quiet environments is a must.   They...
