So the non replaceable ear pads are the big concern? surely thats a really bad design feature, I'm not confident with modding headphones and if the stock pads are only going to last 4-5 years and are apparently not that comfortable, should i just get something else?

i gave up on the Q701s, had a bass rattle on the right cup so had them replaced only to find my new pair had the same rattle on the left cup. Looking for an alternative now. If it wasn't for that rattle i would have had no complaints what so ever.

I'm giving up on my Q701s. The rattling on my first pair was really bad and amazon was quick smart to send me a replacement pair that started doing the exact same rattle only on the opposite driver. So now i'm left trying to decide what i should get instead. @__________@
