    Monster Turbine *COPPER Fake?

Yeah I had a look at the Turbines on eBay and most of them seem to be fakes.  This video covers the basics.

    I'm making a list...

Thanks for all the feedback guys, I think I'm leaning towards either the Coppers or DBA-02s.  Speaking of the Coppers where are they usually found the cheapest?

192 kbps or 320 kbps for MP3 files for use with Xears TD100?

Quote: VBR.  Personally the only CBR I'd use is 320.

If space is a consideration but you also want quality VBR would be the best option.  LAME's V2 setting would be a good choice (190 kbps average bitrate).  You'll end up with files the same size as 192 kbps but that are actually transparent or at least damn close.

    I'm making a list...

...and looking for complaints.   Anyways I'm looking to replace my q-Jays and have come up with the list below.  The things that annoyed me about the q-Jays were the somewhat recessed mids and paying for new filters especially when I usually ended up losing half of each pack before I could...

    Introductory DAC/Amp for Grado HF2

    Introductory DAC/Amp for Grado HF2

I've got a Zero and Little Dot I+ driving a pair of SR225s. The LD was certainly a step up compared to the Zero's amp IMO. I don't know much about the uDac but if it compares favorably to the Zero I'd be inclined towards that option. I should also mention that you can get toslink/mini...

    HF2 vs. SR225

Thanks guys. Much to my wallet's sadness my mind has pretty much been made up. Now just to get the trigger finger ready.

    HF2 vs. SR225

I'm rolling with a pair of SR225s right now but that HF2 b-stock sale is sorely tempting me. Most of the HF2 comparisons I've found have been with the SR325i and up so if there's anyone who has heard both a rundown would be greatly appreciated.

Little Dot MKIII for Grado SR225

Thanks for the opinions guys. I've actually decided to go with the LD I+ for now. Seems to be very good with Grados and at half the price of the MKIII it really helps out on a college budget. The Senns are still a ways off (aka summer job) so I'll worry about that when the times comes.

    Little Dot I+ Tube Rolling

I've got a LD I+ on order atm and I've got a couple questions. First I've got the LT1364 in the amp section of my Zero, can I just pop it out and put in the LD? Second I'm also having problems finding the Sylvania GB-408A tubes, are there any other places to look besides eBay or the FS...

Little Dot MKIII for Grado SR225

I'm considering picking up an LD MKIII for use with my SR225s. From the limited opinions I've been able to find it looks like it would be a solid combination. I'm also looking at buying a pair of HD600/650 in the future which also seems to pair well with the LD. Any opinions about the first...

I'm really dissapointed with headphone and heaphones accessories in Canada

I'll second the Gramophone being an unpleasent place to deal with. If you purchase something from them just pray you never have to return or warranty it, they're an absolute pain to get anything done with. Though I will say that this mainly comes from the guy who owns the store, and it sounds...

    Review: ZERO 24 BIT/192KHz DAC/Headphone Amp/Pre-Amp

Yeah, definitely. I should've said I'm really more curious about the more forward, less smooth sound. Maybe it's just caused by my bad reaction to the highs, but it was mentioned a few pages ago that there aren't any negative side affects to the mod, so I just wanted the make sure I didn't...
