    New AKG line

Quote:   yup. everybody was probably expecting a new akg top of the line to come out so people were selling off their old stock of k702s in anticipation. when the disappointing q701 was finally announced, the prices for the k702 immediately shot back up.

    Headphone storage

i use the sennheiser headphone stands that have the adjustable clamps. they are relatively cheap, compact, unobtrusive, and functional. i own three of them already, but plan on getting more as my collection grows.

    sennheiser hd25-1ii questions

thanks. i imagine that sound leakage would be significantly less with the pleather pads then. i should probably stick with those since i plan on using the hd25-1ii in libraries and don't wish to disturb others.

    sennheiser hd25-1ii questions

i tried searching, but couldn't find the answers.   1) people mention flipping the driver cups upside down to use dual entry cables in the y shape. how exactly do you do this? i imagine you would unscrew the two side screws on the right, unplug the cables and then pull the cups down and off...

Toucan and Boomslang (IBasso Audio) Balanced Review Thread

Quote: i haven't listened to a lot of gear nor am i familiar with all the audiophile terms. however, the clarity and imaging on the hd600 is amazing through the toucan. i'm coming from the ibasso d2+ and it just seems like *everything* improved. i'm really loving this sound, so much so...

Toucan and Boomslang (IBasso Audio) Balanced Review Thread

Quote: thanks. i've been considering getting a k702 to complement the hd600 and it sounds like the k702 would probably be driven just fine by a toucan.

Toucan and Boomslang (IBasso Audio) Balanced Review Thread

am i going insane, or does the pb1's battery recharge in just 2 hours? the ibasso manual says it should take 4 hours to charge. i've completely emptied and charged the battery a few times already and it's been 2 hours or so each time.

    Sennheiser HD595 Impressions Thread

Quote: the higher end iems are not immune. the ie8 has been faked, for example. there's an entire thread on head-fi devoted to telling the differences between the fake versions. the bastards have made buying a used pair of ie8's difficult and risky.

    Sennheiser HD595 Impressions Thread

Quote: sorry, never heard of a fake hd595. i imagine it probably wouldn't be worth the trouble to fake. iems/earphones are just so much easier to bootleg.

    Sennheiser HD595 Impressions Thread

Quote: the hd595 were my first pair of serious headphones too. i used the hd595 for a long time without an amp and was quite satisfied with the sound. i then bought an ibasso d2+ boa only to realize that the 50 ohm hd595 really doesn't change much after amping if the amp itself is fairly...
