I have the Plantronics Backbeat GO 2 and they are excellent! They are comfortable and actually stay in if you insert them properly (i.e., lift the ear when inserting). Sound is great, bass is deep and clear, mids and highs are well represented. Battery life is VERY short. They advertise 4.5 hrs...

I have the Uptowns and listen to them mostly with my iMac and iTunes. They have plenty of bass for me. I think they do a pretty good job of isolating, are very comfortable (especially with glasses) and cover the spectrum of music nicely.   Brad.

I have used a utility called XLD, which converts from and to a variety of formats It converted flac to alac and it played nicely in iTunes.

I suspect that when you put the foam cover on, it seals better and sound changes. I haven't enjoyed any earbud that didn't have a foam cover on it.    

I have them and agree with Watagump. They sound ok at best, lack clarity, bass is boomy. They do fit good (for me) and they are comfortable. They also do a fair job of isolation. For the money, there are better choices, such as Shure SE215.

They are bluetooth and I found them at a kiosk at the Mall. They sounded pretty good at the mall, but I can return them if necessary.   Brad.
