Tubes color the sound enough said.

They may have the Bugatti price tag but they haven't shown any quantifiable data. When Bugatti came out with their car they gave specs such as 0-60 times and top speed.   What did they say? Buzzwords such as silver cables and outdated tech with it being a tube amp.   Going on that alone it...

Personal experience has told me that they have horrible reliability. Took back mine 4 times for the left driver going out over a period of a year and once for a cracked cup. They never left my room and would rest in their case when not in use. Would baby the hell out of the cans just like I do...

I would definitely go out and buy a 4000 USD headphone when the company has a 42% success rate.   Money well spent!

Now they have a 4000 USD LCD-4 headphone coming out. They really should address the build quality issues.   I would love to buy printer paper dampers, misaligned drivers, plastic buzzwords and hair/dust infused magnets. I feel sorry for the poor sap that buys them only to have to return them...

This is awful, it makes sense why I had to replace the left driver on my LCD-2 four times. I babied the heck out of them and they would always go out on me ~4-5 months after getting them back. 

I ended up getting JBL 305 + lexicon alpha based on what people over at AVS suggested. The total price was 304 so I went a little out of budget. I am liking it a lot thus far and I'll get a subby sometime next year.
