Sigma 22 transformer V- output wrong voltage

Picked up a Fluke multimeter to do some more precise testing.  My cheapy DMM needed an upgrade.  I haven't checked if I got negative voltage at the D3 & D4 junction, but they are orientated correctly.  I'll post again if I need some help.

Sigma 22 transformer V- output wrong voltage

I powered up my sigma 22 for the first time and the V- rail is outputting 4.2V while my V+ rail is correct with 29.2V.  (I am going for +- 30V).  I have troubleshooted everything and my negative values are very close to the R2 to ground, Q5 to ground, and Q5 & Q6 to ground readings (on the...

AKG K240 Sextett recable. What is ground and signal?

I stupidly forgot to note what the ground terminal is and what signal is before I desoldered the original cable.  I left the original red and white cables attached to the driver.  Can some one tell me which one is signal and which one is ground?  Or, does it even matter?   Thanks, Mat

    Twisting different gauge wires

I've never heard of twisting cables being a cause for EMI.  I'll keep that in mind when working out future kinks in my amp.  Thanks.

    Twisting different gauge wires

I have tried searching through some threads already and could not find my answer.  I might be over thinking things as well, but is it okay to twist different gauge wires together?   I am building a B22 with a E22 backplane and I noticed on some pics that the V+/G/V- and output pad for each...

Roll Call: Who's building, built, or thinking of building a beta22?

I have been told that I will need about 20 feet of 18 awg wire for the power runs and about 20 feet of 22 awg wire for everything else.  Will this change now that I am using an epsilon 22 backplate?   By the way I am housing only my transformer in a separate chassis and my omega 22 board and...

Will you/Do you miss High School?

My buddies and I would joke about how similar our high school was to a prison. The food was crap, always taking orders and if I had to go to the bathroom I had to get a signed note just to walk the halls otherwise I would get in trouble by the dumb hall monitors. Oh and don't forget the gay guy...

    Help picking a banjo please

For sub 400 most 5 string banjo's will be around the same quality. It won't be great, but he will be able to get a feel for the instrument. I would try to find something around 250 and see if he likes it. I'm sure you will be able to find something at a great price in the Chicago are. After...

    Musicians Earplug Rec

I'm thinking about getting some custom mold earplugs for concerts. I'm also a musician so they'd be used while I play as well. I wanted to know if there were some recommendations that people have. I've looked into the Etymotic universal fit, but I can never get a seal with flange style plugs...

Where to Start with The Grateful Dead?

Yup, you may want to check out some Phil Lesh and Friends. Phil Lesh is the bassist. He's done some great things post Jerry's death. I'm sure it'll show up on pandora.
