    Grado Wireless Series

I have the V2s. I dont have the V1 to compare, but I can tell you that for devices that support aptx, the sound is definitely noticeably better. It sounds virtually identical to the way the headphones sound wired. For those that don't, the sound is a bit quieter and more veiled overall. There's...

    Grado Wireless Series

Thank you! PM sent. I'll post again here if I have any success with the attempts at scanning.

    Grado Wireless Series

Bless you for even taking an interest. The yokes holding the headband to the earcups have broken twice on me now. I think at the moment, the last pieces I'm missing and am waiting on are the piece that says, "R" to hold the right earcup on, and maybe one of the screws for it as well if I recall...

    Grado Wireless Series

That is truly bizarre. Maybe the wiring from the built-in Bluetooth headphone amp to the left channel is severed. Or maybe there's a capacitor in there somewhere that failed prematurely. Hard to say without opening it up. I'd contact Grado just in case they care to make it right. They've been...

    Grado Wireless Series

Just purchased these. Starting to gradually dip my toes back into the audiophile headphone world after quite a long time away. The last Grados I've owned were SR-125s. So far, I'm actually quite surprised by these. For reference, I tend to struggle to hear any meaningful difference when it comes...

HD280 Pro v. MDR-7506 re: longterm comfort and earpad heat

Guttorm, what about the heat, specifically, over a long wearing session?

HD280 Pro v. MDR-7506 re: longterm comfort and earpad heat

Thanks Gwarmi.  I've heard nothing but good things about the ATH-M50, but haven't heard a pair myself.  Might see if I can find a way to have an audition locally soon.     I seriously considered the HD25; as it happens, I own a set of velour pads for it that I bought for the K81DJ awhile...

HD280 Pro v. MDR-7506 re: longterm comfort and earpad heat

I know most of us even here aren't the types to regularly wear gigantic circumaural 'phones outside for long stretches, I thought this would probably be the best place to ask.     After a long time doing video editing as an amateur and budding professional, I've decided to branch out into...

Looking for over ear headphones that are better than Bose for $300 ; please help!

The DT770s are known both for their comfort and for their closed-ness.  However, you really won't know what you like, and *we* can't know what you like, until you've got some experience under your belt.  A bunch of armchair philosophizing audio nerds can only tell you so much.  What I would do...

Idle speculation: Denon to compete with HD800 and T1 someday?

I'd venture that Denon already considers the D7000 to be competing.  The price is irrelevant to actual quality in the audio industry, except for the perceived allure that exhorbitant pricing brings.

    Alessandro MS1i - Somewhat unimpressed...

Honestly, if what you wanted was an improvement in highs and soundstage, I'm not sure why you went with a Grado.  Grado has a notoriously in-your-face sound and next to zero soundstage.  I do suspect the more you listen to them and get used to them, the more you'll like them, but if you don't...

    Grado SR60i

Quote: If you're happy with your sound card, I doubt you'd be able to hear the difference between it and an outboard DAC.  You *might* hear a difference with a headphone amp, but again, given that they're Grados, I doubt anything you'd get would make a real difference.

    One pair of headphones...EVERYBODY LOOK!

Quote: They're quite comfy, in my experience.  It's very cool (literally) to not have something touching my ear at all.  I prefer them with the bigger head pads removed and the adjusters all the way in personally.     Kai, have you tried removing the bigger pads?  I wore them the way...

My loved K701's has to go. What should I get instead? T1?

Wait, you think the T1 looks *better* than the HD800?  I'll never understand the tastes on this forum.

    Grado SR60i

They'd be an enormous upgrade in terms of sound quality.  But then, even the KSC75 would accomplish that.  Bose can't really compete sonically with any serious headphones.  Probably not an upgrade in comfort, though.  They're not *uncomfortable*, but I've always found Bose 'phones to excel in...
