True. But my main point is about how much of a disappointment the 500RP was. $1000 is too much to ask for such headphone. Had u listen to these headphones before. If you had the chance, then you would have agreed with me.

I went to Singapore just las month and I had a chance to spend 2 hours auditioning TH900 - TH500RP - HD800 - SRH1540 - SRH1840 - LCD-2 and the rest of Audeze line up.    The HD800 is no longer the king.   The TH500RP does not worth the $1000 price tag (I would buy it if it was priced at $500...

When will these headphones being released? 

  I found that my W5000 and AD series have the exact same design in cushions. I just ordered an extra pair of W5000 for my AD2000. I found the W5000 cushions works much better and more comfortable than the stock AD2000 ones. I hope it help.

I dont think the new 1000Z will have a significant improvement over the 1000X. It would just a new can with different wood with improvement on the pads. I just ordered a pair of W3000ANV pads for my 1000X. I think it will do a similar job.
