Any old fart head-fi'ers still around?
I've been up to other things for the past few years, but still drop in from time to time just to look around. It's great to see some old familiar names still here, and hard to believe it was so long ago the site first opened with 100 or so members. I've still got my old JMT Penguin as well...- mbriant

Question for iPhone 4s owners
Thanks for the advice. While I don't believe the complaints I have read are necessarily "Mac haters", as they all have purchased Mac products, when I do think of the hundreds of millions of units Apple sells, it does stand to reason that there will be defective batches now and then. It's just...- mbriant

Question for iPhone 4s owners
My iPhone 4 was just stolen and I need a replacement. The "4" worked fine for the most part except for not being able to stay connected to blue tooth devices. 2011 MacBook Pro
Thanks Lurkumaural. That's what I'm looking for. It seems that most laptops are running hotter these days as the processors get faster and more ram gets added. It also seems that because of the thin, unibody design of the MBPs, a design limited in ventilation, the problem could be a little...- mbriant

2011 MacBook Pro
Is anyone who owns a 2011 quad core MacBook pro, NOT having heat issues with it? I'm thinking about upgrading my early 2008 model MacBook, but I've been reading a lot of complaints from owners of recent MacBook Pros and am interested in hearing from those who are HAPPY with their purchase, and...- mbriant

The first ever post on head-fi.
"Banned Moderator" was a joke. Neruda was our youngest member at the time ... 15 or 16 years old IIRC. Now he'd be 25 or 26 .... yikes.- mbriant
