Good afternoon all Very late to the party i got my DX220 yesterday from ebay. I've worked my way through a number of different DAPs and this is by far my favorite so far. Astell & Kern SR15: A&norma Impressions & Reviews
Not at all, I really appreciate you both taking the time to respond. The apk version is so much better than the standard one, plus I now can download as well. is there a way of knowing where to find the most up to date version that works with the SR15 in future or is it a case of trial and error?- Matthewwickes

Astell & Kern SR15: A&norma Impressions & Reviews
Hi all I’m trying to install the tidal xapk so I can download my playlists. I’ve installed the xapk installer, followed the Moon Audio tutorial, added the latest tidal xapk (armeabi-v7a) into the open service folder. Every time I select to install the tidal app I get a parsing error then the...- Matthewwickes

Philips Fidelio X2?!
Morning all, My X2HR arrived yesterday and I'm really impressed. I'm using with a Centrance M8 DAC/Amp and after a lifetime of IEMs, listening to full size open headphones is a whole new experience. I've got a balanced cable from a previous pair of Sony MDR1A (2.5mm TRRS > 3.5mm TRRS). I've...- Matthewwickes

Disappointed with my Westone 4R's
Morning all My set up is an iBasso DX80 > Centrance Mini-M8 > B&O H6 (second gen) with upgraded cable. For many years I'd had IEM's but sold my Flare Audio R2ss a year ago as they were hurting my ears. I'm going to be commuting again regularly so picked up a pair of Westone 4R's. My...- Matthewwickes

Meridian Explorer USB OTG
Hi there, the Meridian Explorer is a bit of a hassle to get working portably TBH. I've just given up on mine and am selling it. My experience is limited to iPhone and iPad so no idea about Andriod. The sound is amazing and I loved it, but had to use the CCK>usb hub> usb Y cable >usb battery at...- Matthewwickes

PHA-1 or C5D?
Hi everyone For a while I’ve been using an external Seagate Plus to stream music to my iPad mini. I’ve used a Meridian Explorer DAC with a combination of CCK, USB hub, USB Y cable and external battery to make the whole thing work. Pleased as I was from a geek point of view getting it all...- Matthewwickes

NEWS: Meridian Releases The Explorer Pocket-Sized USB DAC
I had chance to properly try out the new set up on a 90 min train jounrey into work. All I can say is its amazing and the best combo I've ever heard. I have Shure SE25s and the silence is incredible, I've never heard (or not heard!) anything like it. I've read elsewhere about 'dirty' power...- Matthewwickes

NEWS: Meridian Releases The Explorer Pocket-Sized USB DAC
Cheers Mike, and I'm sure you're right about the Y cable it will be drawing some power from the iPad but I assume that's where the USB hub comes in masking how much power is being called for? Plakat, the error messages with the ME are always "accessory requires too much power" if I plug...- Matthewwickes

NEWS: Meridian Releases The Explorer Pocket-Sized USB DAC
Yes you're right, my fault. I got over excited at getting it to work and posted before I'd read the battery manual. I wrongly assumed because the battery light was off it was off. But you are right, the battery is on. I don't know what the belkin hub does, but if you plug the y cable...- Matthewwickes
