Unfortunately, I haven't heard the NT6 yet, but I did actually have a pair in my possession for a short time (long story). I got to measure them on my modest little portable measurement rig and have EQ'd my SE215s and K702 Annies based on both my measurements and other people's measurements I've...- macro

Thanks! Ah, yeah I forgot to mention source. I've been listening mostly out of my iPhone X, iPhone 6 and O2+ODAC and the S4 sounds great with all of them. My review is based on those sources. I also tried them straight out of my Dell XPS 15 a few times, but I didn't enjoy them quite as much...- macro

Hey guys, I recently picked up some Studio 4s from the Black Friday sale last year and wanted to share my impressions. I've been listening to them for nearly a month now, and I've got to say they sound absolutely amazing. First, a little backstory. I was in the market for some CIEMs for several...- macro

Cable braiding (Litz) : Just eye candy or significant audio advantage over twisted cable?
LItz wire is designed to reduce AC resistance at higher frequencies, so if it has any audible effect, one would expect it to sound airier and brighter contrary to the duller sound you're describing.- macro

Aclair custom in ear Studio 4
Try to give them a call or shoot them an email if you can. They have great customer service in my experience and should be able to help you pick the right model for you better than I can. But here's my understanding: The RSM and Studio4 are very similar. The two actually share the same drivers...- macro

Does anybody in the LA area or Bay Area have an RSM or Studio4 they'd be kind enough to let me measure using a modest mobile IEM measurement rig similar to the one crinacle uses? You can choose where we meet, although it needs to be a place without too much ambient noise like a public library or...- macro

MiniDSP HA-DSP Discussion and Impressions
Some more info I obtained via email for those who might be interested: The high output impedance obviously isn't ideal for a lot of low impedance portable headphones and especially multi-driver earphones with large impedance swings, although I imagine the equalization functionality of the...- macro

MiniDSP HA-DSP Discussion and Impressions
I get the impression a lot of people in the headphone community (and Head-Fi in particular) tend to shy away from signal processing either because they're purists or they just don't know how to implement it properly. I'm with you, though. I'm also passionate about home theater and car audio...- macro

Sweet!! I might have to order one. I presume you're using the cable with your SE846? Do the angled MMCX connectors work alright with the Shure drivers?- macro
