    Sony MDR-1A - Sony's latest update on the 1R

I bought a 2m version of this, works fine. From this seller on Ebay : https://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Replacement-Audio-upgrade-Cable-For-SONY-MDR-1A-headphones/311305027178?hash=item487b39be6a:m:mkaszxkYduFQsSTN6gVnQkQ:rk:1:pf:0

    Sony MDR-1A - Sony's latest update on the 1R

Just a PSA on the combination of Sony MDR-1A and V-Moda Boom-Pro. You need to unscrew the golden ring. (Warranty voiding probably)

    Sony MDR-1000X

That's exactly why I got the MDR-1000x ,for €300 instead of €400 when it was released on the market. Now the MK2 is down to €300 and the MDR-1000x is only €229 (all pricing including 25% sales tax)

Xiaomi Mi A1 Post December 31st Oreo Update Sound Quality

Just got the Mi A1 and updated the phone to get the LDAC support (using a MDR-1000x when I'm traveling). I think your friend experienced a placebo effect. Unless you can do blind-test A/B you can't really be sure. I tested my Mi A1 before the update using my Sony MDR-1A and my MDR-1000x (powered...

    Sony MDR-1000X

Latest android phone to get Oreo and LDAC support: Xiaomi MI A1. Good replacement phone for the Nexus 5x. Only thing that's missing is the NFC and perhaps a worse camera in low light. No issues with BT like the early versions of 8.0 on the Nexus 5x. My MI A1 updated last night to 8.0

    Sony MDR-1000X

Congrats on your choice of headphones. (Did you try wired or wireless, ADAC, aptX, SBC?) You did not do a bad decision. It's all about what you need and what your ears like. I don't like the SQ on the momentums (anyone of them), the SQ is different, but not necessary better than the Sonys...

    Sony MDR-1000X

I took a few screenshots, still haven't used the headphones more than 30 mins after charge. Note: the battery indicator does not show until you pull down the notifications.

    Never mind, double post.

    Sony MDR-1000X

Works, but until the 8.1 update ships I can't test if the small (imo) issues that exists are fixed. ( Have to restart BT on the phone after pairing it with the NC chip to get rid of skipping) Supposed to be fixed with 8.1. Will test tomorrow. Edit: Now I have tested my Nexus 5x with my...

    Sony MDR-1000X

Unless you're using LDAC, APTx-HD you will have a crappy sound. The SCB profile sounds awful. The preassure you feel is from the fact that the headphone is closed. That also explains the narrower soundstage compared to the HD650. They are also slightly V-shaped with a roll off in the highs...

    Sony MDR-1000X

No, you have to enable developer mode and check manually. (At least on my Nexus 5x)

    Sony MDR-1000X

Really easy and basic, just "connected" and one dot on each side of the BT symbol. Bonus: LDAC working. 96Khz,32bit, 900Kbit = total overkill for the stuff I'm listening to. But the best sound compared to SBC/AAC

    Sony MDR-1000X

    No.

    Sony MDR-1000X

Correction: Google Pixel, Nexus 5x/6p does support LDAC and almost any other Oreo phone if the manufacturer supports it. It's a software codec and free since Sony licensed it to Google. But since the update there have been issues with BT connectivity. I experienced that just an hour ago. Fixed...

    Sony MDR-1000X

It's disabled. When you connect the headphone to cable and power it on the BT led blinks red three times and then stays off. All the other leds and functions stays on. No music control is available. Don't use it w/o power, the sound is suffering without the DSP. If you prefer with or without...
