The New HD 560S: Linear Acoustics at a Breakthrough Value

The Anandas are definitely a step up technically wise, with better bass extension and volume, a more precise imaging, and also better details. I use them with particularly well recorded and when I'm watching movies. The HD 560S have more presence in the mid range, so music with lots of acoustic...

The New HD 560S: Linear Acoustics at a Breakthrough Value

A month in and these are the headphones for me. They sound clear and covers the whole frequency range the way I like it. Gaming and movies have been a treat on it and most of all comfort is top notch. Even after purchasing an Ananda I just like how the midrange is being portrayed in these...

[FiiO E10K-TC]Simple and pure sound performance USB DAC and headphone amplifier FiiO E10K Type-C will soon be available!

The very first E10 was what brought me into high end audio. Paired it with the DT880.. Glad to see the next evolution of the device.

Interesting.. I have always gravitated towards mids but the soundstage and imaging on the FD5s are what cements my position to be honest. Then again, my recent purchase of the HD 560s makes me feel the FD5s mids are not so prominent... I may just buy a pair then and find out. Thanks for the reply.

I suppose if I already have and love my FD5s to bits there isn't a point to these yeah?

Listening to my FD5s now for months now I'm sure some of the spice of it will be sprinkled on the FD3s. I might get a pair for a gift heh

The New HD 560S: Linear Acoustics at a Breakthrough Value

Thanks for the replies. I have noticed the treble to be really intense but not offensive, I have been living with a DT880s for a long time and I seem to prefer hotter treble myself so going back to the ATH-R70X it just feels less "clear" to me now. I think that the E.A.R. technology really works...

The New HD 560S: Linear Acoustics at a Breakthrough Value

I find the HD 560s to be an ATH-R70X with better soundstage, and a bit of an uplift in the treble. Anybody with similar findings? I feel like I can let go of my ATH-R70X, I prefer the soundstage on this one.

I am listening to music right now with these headphones as we speak, I agree wholeheartedly with your response. I find it very balanced and reflects my sound signature preference. This is my first foray in to planars and I am glad my purchase is justified. Thanks for the review.

Questionnaire About Earphone Types(Note: that this questionnaire is not limited to earphones of FiiO brand)

It shouldn't matter what driver it is, but how it is being used, though I guess for me right now most of my IEMs are dynamic.

FiiO Hybrid IEMs Discussion & Impressions Thread

You know seeing how good the FD5 is, and how that IEM is constructed, I kinda think that they developed it to perfect the DD technology so that they can step things up and put two of it along with two BAs to ensure a full coverage of the spectrum. They probably know how to house the DDs in a way...

I love the FD5s, this dual dynamic driver configuration is something I've never tried. I wonder if they can make the drivers work together well.
