The HEADSIX, a Head-Fi support sales-action
After the first few little issues with the recessed jacks, the amp is performing wonderfully. It's mating very happily with the Senn HD280s. I finally understood the bass capability on those cans! It's also added better separation and soundstage to them. I am hearing details on "Riders on the...- la_marquise

iPod 160 Classic Skipping/Blanking playback problem
Haven't been by the forums in a ***long*** time and so many new goodies! Quick question: Is anybody else having a playback problem with their iPod Classic 160 gb? Mine will play a song, and then all of a sudden have a 10-15sec stoppage before loading the rest of the song. This happens...- la_marquise

little dot 2 tubes question
BTW, you cannot roll the 4P1S power loctal. I spent 3 weeks trying and you can only get them from China or Russia and they are very specific mil-specs that no tube store carries.- la_marquise

Hi Ferbose! What kind of tube power amp would you recommend with the Presonus for speakers? I am considering a set of Energy C3 bookshelves.... Thanks for the info on this unit!- la_marquise

portaphile v2 2 maxxed
low = HD280PRO med = HD580 high = ?? I think the Portaphile plays very well with Senns, esp. the HD580. Adds some much needed air and open soundstage, as well as clearing up the mids. I have the DT880 and K701s. Works well too, but I just like the HD580/Portaphile synergy better. Have Fun!- la_marquise

Updated Mapletree EAR++ III
I am guessing that unless I need the preamp function I should still get the Ear HD? Actually, how big a set of bookshelves can the new EAR +++ drive? The new Ear +++ is SO tempting though.....And as a Canadian, I can finally buy a great audio product without having to figure out how to beat...- la_marquise

Prom - the next biggest wallet sucker since Head-Fi
There's always the option of going stag. I forgot about having to show up for my own prom one year until the florist delivered the corsages the afternoon of that day and then I remembered that I did indeed have a prom to attend! Of course, I had no dress to wear..but I did have a corset and...- la_marquise
