Show us your Head-Fi station at it's current state. No old pictures please...

@JomiMendes: This is analogue EQ. It doesn't remove any frequencies. I got higher frequencies attenuated to get more natural balance. On Alpha Dogs I can still hear 18kHz, so I don't complain.

    [REVIEW] Shure SE215

The SE 215 are really great headphones! Honestly I would highly recommend them. The bass is slightly elevated, and mids are a bit recessed, but in detail they can compete with my XBA-C10. The lower bass on XBA-C10 is better textured, but is weaker, while upper bass is boomier. The lower bass on...

    [REVIEW] Shure SE215

I got them two week ago. They sound great, better than my Sony XBA-C10, though XBA-C10 have nicer mids, but in general SE 215 sound more detailed to me. The price is slightly higher and so is the detail :) I wonder about SE 535 how those sound?

    Sennheiser HD 215 Review

Though, if I was a DJ I'd probably use M50 or HDJ-something... any DJs here? What is your oppinion on that matter?

ALO Pan Am desktop/portable headphone amp/DAC: Impressions and Reviews

Thanks. I simply had enough of plugging plugs in every time I got to work, and unplugging before leaving office... I also thought it could be quite portable, though it's quite heavy:)

ALO Pan Am desktop/portable headphone amp/DAC: Impressions and Reviews

I brought today all my tubes to the office and playing around with them. I was very happy with Voskhods for recent time. Today I first put Telefunkens, and then Mullards, and now... I'm back on Sylvanias (1945)... The obvious thing that popped up straight after popping them in was superb bass...

    Sennheiser HD 215 Review

I wonder if you bothered to read the very first post in this thread? I just said, i fully agree with that, and IMHO at this price you could get better sounding headphones, like for example ATH-TAD400 (better in my opinion), though they are open (if you care).

ALO Pan Am desktop/portable headphone amp/DAC: Impressions and Reviews

I used to run on those Sylvanias, but recently I switched to my gold and platinum plated Voskhods. I sort of like them, so I didn't switch back for more than month now. I did some comparison with Mullards and Telefunkens, and even my girlfriend (who normally doesn't seem to hear difference)...

A Concise View of Why The ATH-M50 is No Longer King

What's "tizzyness" ? When I auditioned M50 vs RHA30 I have noticed reverb/echo in treble range on M50. Is it that?

    Sennheiser HD 215 Review

From the very first post: The treble on HD215 over certain frequency need boost, and same applies to bass below certain point. Many amp have loudness button, and many people listen to the music with this button depressed. I'd say Senn designed HD215 to play well in such scenario. With the...

    Sennheiser HD 215 Review

I believe the HD215 was designed to be used by DJs, so they'd be connected to some professional equipment, and not consumer grade amplifier. That basically means they need to be reasonably detailed with pretty flat FR, but not necessarily H-Fi. The HD215 are significantly lacking treble above...

Ambience and binaural sound under Linux

As topic suggests, it is for Linux users. Under Windows to achieve similar results I run VBCable + VSTHost + VST plugins (mostly from ToneBoosters). You use Foobar to play your own music, and if you want to have SFX applied to tracks played by Spotify or Youtube you need other solution...

Steve Aoki - sounds best on what setup?

I haven't updated this post for a log time, and I got my AlphaDogs for over a year now, so I thought I would add an update. I'd say this video is an example of a well recorded live trance music. The dynamic range is great :), unlike on YT videos from Tomorrowland  This video sounds great...
