Stuff that is bluesy and soulful. Guitar driven stuff like Joe Bonamassa, the Allman Brothers, Government Mule, and JJ Cale. Some jazz, some country or country influenced sorts of stuff like the Cowboy Junkies, Gillian Welch, acoustic Neil, Steve Earle, Ryan Bingham, and Johnny Cash. Just discovered Beth Hart via Bonamassa. Beth is very reminiscent of Janice Joplin, definitely bluesy and soulful, and my newest discovery via another head fier, William Elliott Whitmore. Pretty much anything rootsy and off the beaten path that doesnt sound like over produced, coomercialized corporate crap. I guess I prefer real flowers to plastic ones.
