Sony NW-A40 Series NW-A45/A46/A47
The usual trick with this is to go through the following sequence: Go to the Home Screen Turn on the Hold button Press Left < Key 5 times Press Center > || Key 5 times Press Right > Key 5 times Hopefully this will reboot the device and play as normal.- jpgr

Bowers & Wilkins PX7 noise-cancelling over ear headphones
In case anyone is wondering: From B&W customer support - "We do not produce any headphones compatible with balanced connections. Only headphones designed with balanced cabling as their primary connection method will actually exploit this sonically."- jpgr

Sony Walkman custom firmware (non-Android)
"There’s actually normal and plus. Just that plus has 2 different versions. So technically it’s only 2 modes." Ok, technically only 2 modes. although Mr Walkman's site says - three boot modes: "Normal", "Plus v1", and "Plus v2" (find settings for these in the settings file); but three choices...- jpgr

Sony Walkman custom firmware (non-Android)
"And there’s also more than 2 sound signatures, so it wouldn’t be that practical either." There are currently three boot modes: "Normal", "Plus v1", and "Plus v2" and most people seem to cope ok with that. I just wanted to compare between two specific sound signatures. If it was possible, the...- jpgr

Mr Walkman, thanks for all your hard work. Would it be possible to have the hold switch choose between two sound signatures instead of normal, plus1 and plus 2?- jpgr

Astell & Kern SR25: The next A&norma player
"Just the fact that most of my albums do show artwork means that the SR25 isn't having problems with those albums, but something is not quite right with the 170 albums, or so, that didn't display. I really do think I had a dud SR25, and that the replacement will work as it's supposed to." Have...- jpgr
