DIY Cable Questions and Comments Thread

the coax port is a 3.5mm stereo plug port. 3.5mm stereo as in your photo, has 3 connections. the sleeve, ring and tip. tip is "signal" in your photo. ring is one next to it, and sleeve is closest to the cable. if you connect a RCA to sleeve (ground) + tip, you are sending signal to the Coax1...

DIY Cable Questions and Comments Thread

I asked about the length because, even though SPDIF should be ok with 10m, I have seen signal getting degraded way before that, around 1m or so, probably due to out of spec, non 75Ohm cabling.

Beautiful looking cable as always Teknorob! Firstly, how long is the cable? Second. Each stereo 3.5mm actually contain 2 SPDIF inputs to the Hugo2. I don't remember the names (or the "color"), but each of the 2 mono connections (ground+left, ground+right) correspond to a different input. If...

I have sat in eearphones for hours swapping cables of many different prices and none produced such wide tonal balance, detail, sound stage and overall coherent image as the Pandora. Unfortunately the cable cost more...

I just went from Andromeda to U18t. The U18t is like Andromeda extended. Improvement in detail, texture and sound stage. Andromeda can sometime sound a bit veil, the U18t fixes all of that. It maybe slightly less bassy than the Andromeda depending what you used to drive the Andromeda (as it...

I did try to wiggle it when removing but it seems that the tube from my U18t is a bit too smooth. sometimes it works but sometimes not.
