I sent my e500s back to shure 2 weeks ago to get them fixed because of a torn left cable. I even told them that my cat had gotten a hold of it... they told me to send them in and they sent me a whole new e500 box with all the accesoriess. I only sent them the earphones without any extension...

I forgot to mention that I use the weighted base for mine when I need it. I think its the most flexible option since you can work on any surface and still have your workpiece stay still.

Use the foamies. To me any other tips make it sound off. I used the soft tips(grey) for a while after my first pair of foamies got worn out. Now that I've made my own foamies I'm starting to like them again. I'm a foamie fan what can I say.
