E530 cable broke. what caused it?
I sent my e500s back to shure 2 weeks ago to get them fixed because of a torn left cable. I even told them that my cat had gotten a hold of it... they told me to send them in and they sent me a whole new e500 box with all the accesoriess. I only sent them the earphones without any extension...- jl123

Panavise Options?
I forgot to mention that I use the weighted base for mine when I need it. I think its the most flexible option since you can work on any surface and still have your workpiece stay still.- jl123

Microdac mod
I designed a pcb for 2 627s biased with a JFET cascode. I had hoped to etch it this weekend but something came up and I'm on my way back to school tomorrow without any double sided board. IEMS/ Shure E500
Use the foamies. To me any other tips make it sound off. I used the soft tips(grey) for a while after my first pair of foamies got worn out. Now that I've made my own foamies I'm starting to like them again. I'm a foamie fan what can I say.- jl123
