Maybe... It is a annoying to get the right cables,especially since you are probably buying them exclusively for it but i got some decent ones off ebay and it works great. I even sold my DAC since i couldn t detect that much difference and it makes the system a lot more bloated.

I was the one who had an incident with the CS, but I do realize that the CS is NOT at fault and I simply did not plug the jack in correctly. I received my repaired unit and the issue was apparently a fried opamp. I m glad I got the unit back it s really useful.

Title pretty much says it all, would there be a problem (alteration of the sound, impedance mismatch, whatever..) with using XLR to TRS cables for a balanced analog signal? My source has XLR outputs however my preamp has TRS inputs but no XLR. This might be interesting for long cable runs. Thanks

Hm, then how is it possible to take advantage of the AES feature on the card

The card is supposed to support AES/EBU standard but it only has a RCA output for digital audio. Am I supposed to use a RCA-XLR cable for such a connection? Would there be a good impedance matching? Thanks

I had the same problem, twice. I also tried everything possible contacted EMU support etc... to no avail. The only thing you can do is get a replacement daughter card from EMU, they re pretty lenient if you only return a daughter card.
