Based on this revue, the A200p doesn't seem that good... http://www.kenrockwell.com/audio/beyer/a200p.htm

HD 439 or HD 380 Pro or any other Sennheiser suggestions.

How are you going to use your headphones and with what equipment? This helps determine which is the best choice for you. I'd consider the he 380 Pro a step down from the 598's but they fold and more portable.the 380 Pro are much bigger (full size) and closed back. I believe they isolate pretty...

Headphone that is the same as Audio Technica ATH-M50 but detachable cords/cables?

I don't use an amp nor DAC but would like to. Never got around to buying one yet. My HD 380 Pros sound great with out one, connecting to iPhone 4S, iPod Touch 5th gen, iPad mini, Lenovo W500, T530. They will sound better with a better DAC and or headphone amp. For your PC, it's the sound card...

Headphone that is the same as Audio Technica ATH-M50 but detachable cords/cables?

First time I've heard anyone say the Pro500MKII are more balanced than M50's or ws99's. I'll check them out. I got my M50's for the same price.

Headphone that is the same as Audio Technica ATH-M50 but detachable cords/cables?

Agreed. I have a set of HD 380 Pros at work. They are my first decent pair of headphones and do a good job of isolating. Only problem I have is switching between other headphones. The veiled sound is really noticeable then.

Headphone that is the same as Audio Technica ATH-M50 but detachable cords/cables?

For me, because I wanted the m50's first. I'm about to buy the ws99's then probably pro700mkII's. I don't have a need for a pro500mkII. Do they sound better than the ws99 or pro700mkII?

Headphone that is the same as Audio Technica ATH-M50 but detachable cords/cables?

I couldn't do the red but I I'd pay $180.00 for a M50 with a detachable cable. I prefer the sound of the M50 over the 840's. Not to sway you though, just my thought. The 840's keep coming up in conversations. Guess I should go listen to some again to see if my opinion has changed.

ATH-M50(S), what specific genres of music are these recommended?

If you wan to save some money, the ath-ws77's are pretty close to the ws99's but closer the M50's price. Maybe even a little cheaper...

ATH-M50(S), what specific genres of music are these recommended?

Little more emphasis on the frequencies around 80hz, little bit fuller bass sound. When you close your eyes and listen to the music, how close the music sounds to you, the depth, distance of the stage.

Not mythical to me or the hd380's I own...

ATH-M50(S), what specific genres of music are these recommended?

I believe the M50's is a great intro and value for a larger closed back headphone for about $150. I got mine closer to $100. I have a set, play Coldplay, Pink Floyd and many other styles through them, they sound great but I would like a little more bottom and bigger stage. My next set will be...

Can the Audio Technica ATH-M50's bass reach the Sony MDR-XB500's bass level if i EQ them?

What would you EQ them with? Try it and let us know how it works out for you. Have you considered the ath-ws99 or pro700MKII's?, maybe even the Shure SRH840?
