Grado 325is, back when that kind of money was a lot to me. Just could never really get into the sound signature and each listen was always fatiguing. Although I did blindly purchase my STAX setup without any prior audition, but luckily that worked out in the end.

Grado 325is a while back. The right side just fell off the headband one day and it took a lot of glue to get it to stay attached. I never trusted that design. Also they were a bit bright for me.

STAX SR-507 Grado 325is   Since getting the 507 my Grado headphones have pretty much gone unused. Luckily I find the 507 comfortable and it pairs pretty well with my 727II. I plan on eventually getting the 009 or its successor one day which would probably get more use out of this amp.

Audacity has an audio spectrum analyzer. http://spek-project.org/ is a lightweight alternative just for this. Typically lossless will reach 22000hz and transcodes will cut off at lower frequencies. That's not always the case though.  

  Thanks for the list of places that might have these available. A lot of sites seem to have mixed individual 6S4A's in stock, but no matched quads. Hopefully replacing the power tube will get rid of that hum I am experiencing. Sahara, another site you can try contacting is...
