    ASUS Xonar Essence STX II

I started having "screeching" problem with my STX II all of a sudden so I started researching ways to solve it. I came across new "official" drivers from ASUS and decided to try them out. I put "official" in quotes because they're still not signed - you still need to put your system into driver...

    Beyerdynamic Amiron Wireless

IMO other people may disagree, but I think earpad swap for something that seals better is a must. The swap is very easy, no modding experience necessary, the earpad pieces are being held in place by pure friction, you will probably need something plastic to pry them off, but they come off pretty...

    Beyerdynamic Amiron Wireless

I disagree, they sound completely flat with stock pads, no bass whatsoever. It's easily fixed with aftermarket pads however. This is what I purchased (except from US store). https://www.amazon.co.uk/Brainwavz-ROUND-Replacement-Memory-Earpads-Black/dp/B072PPPWBF/ You'll have to cut excess...

    Beyerdynamic Amiron Wireless

I had both, I sold the Sony 1000XM3 and kept the Amiron Wireless. For my use Amiron was a superior choice. Caveat - I had to switch earpads on Amiron to Brainwavz memory foam pads, and I also had to bend yokes a bit for better fit to get the best sound out of Amiron. Without those mods Amiron...

    Beyerdynamic Amiron Wireless

I got this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072PPPWBF/ The earpad opening was a bit too small, so I had to carefully trim extra pleather with pedicure scissors which took me all of 5 minutes and I was good to go. To be honest, I would not recommend Amiron Wireless with stock earpads. I...

    Beyerdynamic Amiron Wireless

I've never listened to 1770's, but I found Amiron Wireless to have exceptionally poor seal. With aftermarket memory foam earpads they have plenty of slam down below. Brainwavz earpads are like $25, totally worth it if you want more base IMO.

    Beyerdynamic Amiron Wireless

I wouldn't use either Amiron Wireless or Sony 1000XM3 for the gym. Amiron Wireless is heavy and has very loose fit, I'd be afraid of them falling off my head, Sony 1000XM3 would be secure enough to stay put, but they get very warm even when not exercising, if you're going to be breaking sweat in...

Beyerdynamic Amiron Wireless - New ear pads to improve bass?

It's not just an improvement. The aftermarket pads is what made the difference between keeping these headphones and sending them back. That's how awful the stock pads are. As I said, I cannot believe folks at Beyerdynamics listened to stock pads in user testing and thought yeah, that sounds good.

    Beyerdynamic Amiron Wireless

I get that. I think it's reasonable to expect a few stumbles when creating brand new product line of wireless headphones. However, I think it is unacceptable that Beyerdynamic decided to not provide firmware fix for Amiron Wireless power button issue. I believe they provided firmware update for...
