I pulled the trigger on MC5 for $55....reading about the JVC HA-FX40...lots of great reviews..wow!>....but will they be good for jazz music? a neutral sound?...also reading people recommend an insance burn-in of 150hours...thinking of ordering them to take on my long flight...- jazzdude1

thanks for the reply DeadloveStory!...I'm flying USA-Taipei non-stop...pulled the trigger on MC5 for $55....well, if they are lousy, I guess can return them... I was attracted by the highly rated noise isolation aspect of them... reviews on the SE215 sure sound appealing...I've just never...- jazzdude1

is there any difference between MC3 and MC3-i-a ?? is the MC3-I-A a newer version??...reviews seem mixed on the microphone quality on the MC3- jazzdude1

hi...listening mostly to jazz on iphone 5 and ipad....looking in the $50-75 price range...do you think the Etymotic MC5 will be my best bet? I can get them for $52+tax.....previously had the Sennheiser CX300 and thought they were pretty good for the money..also had the AT CKM50... some...- jazzdude1

thanks! some people mentioned the Shure se215 as an alternative? any ideas about that one? seems to be around $100 for those but can get the MC3 for $70 or MC5 for $55- jazzdude1

the se215 seem to be around $100...i can get MC5 for $55...is the price difference worth it? MC3 which is useful for use with my iphone 5 and ipad is around $70 ...how is se215 noise isolation compared to MC5?- jazzdude1

Hi! Just wondering what you experts think of MC5 for noise isolating on flights? My budget is around $75 maximum...sound-wise, I listen primarily to jazz so don't need over-blown bass that is found in many IEM's these days for RAP and HIP-HOP stuff. Looking for clarity and sound quality...- jazzdude1

Hi! just wondering what you guys would think of the MC5 for long flights..i'm a jazz pianist...so, mainly listening to jazz :) ...don't want crazy fake booming bass anyways...looking for the $50 price-range...is the MC5 about the best for that range? Thanks!- jazzdude1

also, regarding CKM-33, the tips that come with them seem to be a little uncomfortable in my ears...should i try the COMFY ones everyone recommends?...also, people around me noticed they could hear the music i was playing while listening with the CKM-33... it's a little weird cause it never...- jazzdude1

wondering the same thing...looking for something more for JAZZ listening...considering CC51, A151, M4...was thinking about these but it sounds like they have too much bass for the type of music I would be listening to...any tips?- jazzdude1

Onkyo SR-503 receiver...what to do with Marantz MA500 powerblock THX amps?? any way to incorporate them??
kind of what i figured...I read about some people using the TAPE OUT/MONITOR on the receiver as a pre-out?!?!?! is that possible or not?? ...any brand recommendations for the under $500 receiver with pre-out?? do people use those MA500 sort of amps to boost center channel or... -
