just got the Fidelio X1's.   purposely went for these because of their sound stage being similar to the DT770s. slight U shape, solid tight bass, great highs and slightly recessed mids. they sound great, especially through my modi/magni.

so i've read that the stock cable should be replaced, but what if i was using the modi/magni ? i ask because i need the 6.3mm adapter and i'm having trouble finding a 3.5mm to 6.3mm cable anywhere to replace the stock cable.   anyone using the stock cable with a dac/amp ?

with that being said, is it even worth using the modi/magni with a 32ohm pair of headphones? i don't hear too much of a difference using the schiit combo.

i have a pair of DT770 32 ohm pros but with the modi/magni i can't hear too much of a difference. just wondering if i should return my 32ohm pair and get something with higher impedance. thanks in advance.

i'm interested in buying an amp/DAC for my DT770s, used mostly for desktop use.   i've read that portable amps can be great, but i've also read that sometimes simply buying a quality sound card is great too.   any suggestions would be great, thanks!

i can attest to the DT770 32 ohm's bass. it's not overpowering at all. in fact, i like to think it's perfectly balanced, moreso than most closed cans.

is there a video somewhere with someone actually using these? i would like to see/hear how much they leak at certain volumes. i tried searching but couldn't find anything. 

  would the K550s be a significant upgrade from HD 380s?
