Automotive - I drive a beater car because for teh high mpg lulz because I'm too lazy and cheap to get anything cool, but I spend a lot of time reading stuff and talking to folks "in the know." As a result, I know a few orders of magnitude more than most, but have nothing to show for it. Nerdcore.
Computers - So much time spent on these boxes of awesome. Games, movies, music, learning. LEARNING. Oh, and socialization. I guess. I build computers, which isn't impressive at all, and I'm an avid Wind0ze user that hasn't had malware in years.

For the most part, I like ideas and understandings more than actual things. They're a lot easier for me to acquire and mostly just as satisfying. I don't buy stuff simply because it's cool. When I'm out of college land at some point in the future and not (probably) not making slave wages, I'll have a few things for that sake.
