You will not get the bass effect you described from the MTPCs. If you want that deep bass for effect purposes, especially for movie-watching, try the relatively cheap Shure SE215 ($80-$100). I have the Beyer 770 pro 80ohm, MTPC, and Shure 215 for reference.
