After reading much of the comments in this thread, decided to take the plunge and order myself a DX50 also. 9th batch to be more specific.   Going to use it with a pair of Amperiors as my on the go rig. Should be good.

Quick question on the hirose connector.   It seems that I can twist the cable right below the hirose male plug while it's connected to the MD. Is this normal?

Just got these. Just using my PA2V2 + 5.5Gen Ipod. My previous can was a DT770/80. So far I don't know how to feel. I'm not overly impressed to be honest. Maybe they just need a period of breaking them in?   Also, using a 1/4 to 1/8 adapter by sennheiser.   edit: maybe I'm just a basshead.

Ah ok. Right now I have 2 sources: (Macbook Air 11" 2012) and 5.5 Gen Ipod. My current amp right now is the PA2V2. I am looking into purchasing a iBasso DX50 as my main DAP. I'll add this information to the original post.
