Sometimes phones can have a very bad sounding DAC. All DAC's are not made equal. Having a phone that has USB OTG enabled in the kernel and allows for USB audio will help when a lower quality DAC is present in the phone. 

How does the Walkman F series stack up to the Zune HD? Is the Walkman F series sound quality a lot better than the Zune HD?

I just received my Um3x yesterday and the nozzle was all scratched up. Is this normal westone quality control?

Hey headfi. I just received my um3x and  was just wondering if its normal to have slight scratches on the um3x nozzel. They are small and i was just curious. Thanks!
