Is it just me who finds the heavy talk about the LCD-2 to be exaggerated? I mean, it is a bit heavy, but nothing a healthy person cannot handle. It's not much heavier than placing a medium sized book on your head, and it clamps on the side, so it isn't even as difficult as that.

the SR325s are ear bleeders, too bright and too piercing. i bought one and kept them for three days since they were too painful to listen to. The K701 is ok, but can sound strange with some genres. I'd keep the HD600. Most versatile out of the three choices.

It's strange, 2 years ago, you'd see threads dropping the HD800 to second tier TOTL.( See rankings like Skylab, David Mahler, even Steve Guttenburg). It's a renaissance of the HD800.

When you get to a certain level, it all comes down to preferences. There are some who prefer the T1, the LCD-2/3 HE-6 to the HD800, while others prefer HD800 over them all. I don't consider any of them a level above each other, except maybe the 009. For example I had the opposite experience...

If you really want an Ultrasone, I'd go with the Sig Pro (which I think is better than the ED8 - but still not as good as the LCD-2 from my audition).
