weird crackling issue
for the past week or so my s-jays have been crackling on and off on the right side. i'll be listening to music, the crackling will come out of nowhere, and the weird thing is that the only thing that seems to stop it is giving the iem a good hard flick. any idea what might be causing this and...- i_don't_know

What to Replace Phonak Audeo PFE With? ($150 budget)
Good news - I realized I hadn't tried changing the filters yet, so I went for it and the problem's solved! Still though, thanks for the help; the cables on my PFEs have been stiff for a while now so I'll keep all of your recommendations in mind in case they ever do completely die on me. ...- i_don't_know

What to Replace Phonak Audeo PFE With? ($150 budget)
Hmmm alright, looks like I've got a lot of thinking to do on this one. As far as being able to hear above 16khz, I can hear up to about 18khz or so, but my laptop soundcard seems to cut out suddenly around 17khz (ironically just as high as the PFEs can extend ); also, upper-end harmonics, even...- i_don't_know

What to Replace Phonak Audeo PFE With? ($150 budget)
Thanks for the recommendations everyone, the HF5 is looking really tempting, but i just have a couple questions. Does the bass extend as low and with as much texture as the PFE? And even though the HF5 doesn't have as much impact, will it still respond accordingly with a decent amount of thump...- i_don't_know

Multi-IEM Review - 352 IEMs compared (Pump Audio Earphones added 04/03/16 p. 1106)
If I was looking for a similar IEM to replace the original Phonak PFE (used with gray filters) with a budget of $150, would the DBA-02/Brainwavz B2 be a good choice? My PFEs just broke and I've loved everything about them from first listen, but sadly their price has been raised and I'm a broke...- i_don't_know

What to Replace Phonak Audeo PFE With? ($150 budget)
Hey, I could really use some help... After having the original one driver/middle-of-the-pack PFEs since they first came out, the right channel finally went (most likely a cable issue; the cables on the originals are pretty bad). I was wondering if there was an IEM for around $150 (what the PFEs...- i_don't_know

Review: Fischer Audio's DBA-02
How is the cable quality with these? Does it seem like it will last a lifetime, even with body oils and the like? Or is it more of a "regular quality" cable that will eventually start to break down? Also, can anyone comment on both the fit and sound signature of the DBA-02 versus the...- i_don't_know

Great SQ DAPs that are compatible with Mac?
I don't know what I was thinking. What I really meant was players that are compatible with a Mac. I can just drag and drop.- i_don't_know

Great SQ DAPs that are compatible with Mac?
Without the need to do any modding, what are some of the most balanced, transparent, and detailed sounding players on the market that would be compatible with my new Mac? My current player (Sony Walkman S639F) is compatible, but I want something much more detailed, because I think it sounds...- i_don't_know

Thinking about getting a Mac Mini...
...and I'm used to ripping CDs with EAC and playing songs in foobar2000. Are there any equivalents of these programs for Mac OSX? Also, how is the soundcard in the Mac Mini? And would it work well for recording?- i_don't_know

S639F too muddy sounding - looking for much more detail and a flatter response

Phonak Audeo (PFE) Thread
What happened to the website? What is Ozone? Ozone Online | Home Phonak's domain name got taken over, I think. By the way, how do these mate with the AMP3? I asked the same question in the AMP3 thread, but everyone there is too in love with the stock 'buds to give a direct, unbiased...- i_don't_know

Amp3
TO ALL AMP3 OWNERS: Are any frequencies emphasized or rolled off? By how much? Is the AMP3 more on the warm side, the bright side, or does it sound 100% completely flat, neutral, and transparent? How "quick" is its sound? Instrument separation? Detail? Is its sound comparable to "vintage"...- i_don't_know

Amp3
Can anyone get a frequency response graph of this player? I would like to see which frequencies are emphasized and/or rolled off. I don't care about the included earphones, just the AMP3 itself.- i_don't_know
